Hello

It's been a minute! Alright, I'm going to try something new, which is tell you what I'm doing. So... here we go.

A couple months ago I moved from Illinois to Queens, NY. So far, it's been pretty great. I've met a lot of cool people. I like the city. I've been making new work. This is a painting I just finished:

It's called, "Integrity Protecting the Works of Man". It's a joke. Do you get it?!?

At the end of last month I had a table at the Grand Comics Festival. It was really a lot of fun. I met a bunch of awesome people. The guy I shared a table with was Barry Bruner. He's a really cool guy with some awesome work. If you don't already know it check it out. I met a bunch of folks who just graduated from the SVA MFA program. Check out Molly's work, and Andrea's, and Alex's and also Alex's Podcast Comics for Grownups, which he co-casts with Joshua Malbin. I traded some comics with Kenan after running into him again at CAKE. He makes cool comics. Anuj's comic "Genus" is being serialized on Study Group, aka the best thing on the internet. His books are really beautiful, so you should buy them. I met Meredith Gran who's comic is called Octopus Pie. She also draws and writes comics for Boom Studios. I met Josh Bayer! He's awesome. I had a late night train conversation with Tom Motley in which we discussed anachronisms, geography and the crushing vulnerability of trying to sell art to people. He's a really interesting guy, and I really enjoyed talking to him. I was also lucky enough to meet Jen and Chris and a couple of their studio-mates. All of whom make amazing work. And last but certainly not least, a giant thank you to Pat Dorian, who organized the whole thing and to Bird River Studios who hosted it. Pat's a hero. There were more awesome people there. Go to the website to see them and look at pictures. I have no pictures.

I made a new comic for this thing. It's called Robot Versus Ghost. It's about friends. Here are some pages from that:

Also, here are a couple paintings from my "Travel" series that I never posted here:

Alright! I think that's it. I don't know if all that was worth it, but there it is. Hope you check out those links and enjoy the images.
