Some Flagg Originals

Hey,

So I've been going to the "Palette and Chisel Artists Academy" in Chicago to get some figure drawing done and I was looking at some of the things they have hanging on the walls. A lot of cool stuff. Particularly the Flagg originals they have hanging in one of the halls. Thought someone might get a kick out of seeing them. They're pretty cool.

Sorry about the glare on these I did my best to keep it to a minimum.





And some other drawing I thought was real cool. I don't who the artist is though.



Anyway. I was supposed to update today and technically this is an update. So I guess I didn't lie but I will be back in the next day or so to post some new stuff from my sketchbook and some new figure drawings.

FIgure's From Today (updated)

Hey,

I have been up the past couple nights painting my project for Cooper. I'm done. 12 paintings in about 48 hours left me pretty worn out and just wanting to draw. It also left me lacking several essential colors so today I drew with some crayon in Pratt's class. It was fun and then I threw some pastel over one of the drawings and I like what happened.




I went back and did a proper photo of this with adjustments to make it look better (more like the real thing) and so I thought I'd share the results.

Something's Better Than Nothing: A Resolution to Post More

New sketchy thing done for the Chicken Scratch blog. I haven't done anything with monsters in a while so this was a nice relapse into the sketches of the darker days of yore.

I am also working on eventually getting up the energy to scan some paintings I've done this semester. And maybe some of the crap from my sketch books. I really feel like I've done almost nothing this semester so far which is scary because it's almost over and I've probably just not done a lot of what I was supposed to do...

Anyway. Maybe I'll post some writing.

A Series of Sophomoric Efforts

Well this is the first update in a while. It's all I have right
now. These are a few of the more successful things I did
during my first semester at Ringling. I hope you can fi-
nd something in them you like. You'll have to click on
them to see the whole thing. I apologize for the inconv-
enience but it was the best way to do it I thought.

This was the original version of this project. When I started I had intended to use color. In the end I didn't, but I still wanted to go back and see if it would have worked. Let me know which you prefer.
